On May 12, 2008, Brooks emceed the Dallas CAPPIE Awards, a Tony Award styled event. The CAPPIES is a national organization based in Washington D.C. that celebrates excellence in high school performing arts. The Dallas Chapter had its Awards Gala on May 12th.
