I had the chance to help volunteer as a docent at the More Life AIDS Benefit. It was a wonderful event–very classy and elegant–and I especially enjoyed getting to see all my pageant sisters. I can’t wait for July! ~Brooksie

Help us build our Scholarship fund!!
There is no such thing as a free education, unless of course you are awarded college scholarships. That is exactly the goal of the Miss Plano Frisco Scholarship Organization, to award scholarship funds.As you may already know, our organization is an official preliminary to Miss America. Our local program exists to give young women a vehicle to further their personal educational goals and you can play a part in helping them reach that goal. Through the Miss America system our 2006 titleholder, Shilah Philips, Miss Frisco, was able to earn over $40,000 in scholarship money after becoming the first runner-up to Miss America. Before winning a title with us, Shilah was working three jobs and almost dropped out of school because of a lack of funds and our local pageant was able to help make her dreams come true. It was through this organization, in addition to the financial support of others that Shilah was able to continue pursuing her educational dreams. As little as a $10 donation can actually help us to make a big difference. We sincerely hope that you will consider joining us in our effort to help other young women reach their educational goals.
